Applicability
(Weight rule)

This page explains the Applicability of Weight rules with specific examples.

• You can select from the following 3 types of Applicability:

  • Variant: Applies the restriction to each variant.

  • Product: Applies the restriction to the total weight of variants belonging to a product.

  • Cart: Applies the restriction to the total weight of eligible items in the cart.

Description

The restriction is applied to each individual variant of a product. For example, if a maximum weight limit of 3kg is applied to Product A (variants: S, M, L), each size (S, M, and L) can be purchased up to 3kg.

Example

[Prerequisite] When the Weight rule is configured as follows:

• Maximum weight: 3kg

• Applicability: Variant

• Eligible items:

  • Product A (Variants: S, M, L)

  • Product B (Variants: S, M, L)

  • Product C (Variants: S, M, L)

[Result] You can only purchase up to 3kg for each variant.

Pass cases:

• ⭕️ Total weight of Product A (Size S) is 3kg or less.

• ⭕️ Total weight of Product B (Size S) and Product B (Size L) are each 3kg or less.

Fail cases:

• ❌️ Total weight of Product A (Size S) is heavier than 3kg.

• ❌️ Total weight of either Product B (Size S) or Product B (Size L) is heavier than 3kg.

Description

The restriction is applied to the total weight of all variants belonging to a product. For example, if a maximum weight limit of 3kg is applied to Product A (variants: S, M, L), the "combined weight of S, M, and L" can be purchased up to 3kg.

Example

[Prerequisite] When the Weight rule is configured as follows:

• Maximum weight: 3kg

• Applicability: Product

• Eligible items:

  • Product A (Variants: S, M, L)

  • Product B (Variants: S, M, L)

  • Product C (Variants: S, M, L)

[Result] You can only purchase up to a total of 3kg for all variants belonging to a single product.

Pass cases:

• ⭕️ Total weight of Product A (Size S) is within 3kg.

• ⭕️ Combined weight of Product B (Size S) and Product B (Size L) is within 3kg.

• ⭕️ Total weight of Product A (Size S) and Product C (Size L) are each within 3kg.

Fail cases:

• ❌️ Total weight of Product A (Size S) is heavier than 3kg.

• ❌️ Combined weight of Product B (Size S) and Product B (Size L) is heavier than 3kg.

• ❌️ Total weight of either Product A (Size S) or Product C (Size L) is heavier than 3kg.

Description

The restriction is applied to the total weight of all eligible items included in the cart. For example, if a maximum weight limit of 3kg is applied to apparel products, the "total weight of all apparel products" can be purchased up to 3kg.

Example

[Prerequisite] When the Weight rule is configured as follows:

• Maximum weight: 3kg

• Applicability: Cart

• Eligible items:

  • Product A (Variants: S, M, L)

  • Product B (Variants: S, M, L)

  • Product C (Variants: S, M, L)

[Result] You can only purchase up to a total weight of 3kg for all eligible items present in the cart.

Pass cases:

• ⭕️ Total weight of Product A is within 3kg.

• ⭕️ Combined total weight of Product A, Product B, and Product C is within 3kg.

Fail cases:

• ❌️ Total weight of Product A is heavier than 3kg.

• ❌️ Combined total weight of Product A, Product B, and Product C is heavier than 3kg.
