You can select from the following 3 types of Applicability:
Variant: Applies the restriction to each Variant.
Product: Applies the restriction to the total quantity of variants belonging to a Product.
Cart: Applies the restriction to the total quantity of Eligible items in the Cart.

The restriction is applied to each individual Variant of a product. For example, if a Maximum quantity limit of 3 is applied to Product A (variants: S, M, L), each size (S, M, and L) can be purchased up to 3 units.

[Prerequisite] When the Product quantity rule is configured as follows:
Maximum quantity: 3
Applicability: Variant
Eligible items:
Product A (Variants: S, M, L)
Product B (Variants: S, M, L)
Product C (Variants: S, M, L)
[Result] You can only purchase up to 3 units for each Variant.
Pass cases:
⭕️ Product A (Size S) quantity is 3 or less.
⭕️ Product B (Size S) and Product B (Size L) are each 3 units or less.
Fail cases:
❌️ Product A (Size S) quantity is 4 or more.
❌️ Either Product B (Size S) or Product B (Size L) quantity is 4 or more.

The restriction is applied to the total quantity of all variants belonging to a Product. For example, if a Maximum quantity limit of 3 is applied to Product A (variants: S, M, L), the "combined quantity of S, M, and L" can be purchased up to 3 units.

[Result] You can only purchase up to a total of 3 units for all variants belonging to a single Product.
Pass cases:
⭕️ Product A (Size S) quantity is within 3.
⭕️ Combined quantity of Product B (Size S) and Product B (Size L) is within 3.
⭕️ Product A (Size S) and Product C (Size L) are each within 3 units.
Fail cases:
❌️ Product A (Size S) quantity is 4 or more.
❌️ Combined quantity of Product B (Size S) and Product B (Size L) is 4 or more.
❌️ Either Product A (Size S) or Product C (Size L) quantity is 4 or more.

The restriction is applied to the total quantity of all Eligible items included in the Cart. For example, if a Maximum quantity limit of 3 is applied to apparel products, the "total quantity of all apparel products" can be purchased up to 3 units.

Eligible items:

Product C (Variants: S, M, L)
[Result] You can only purchase up to a total of 3 units for all Eligible items present in the Cart.
Pass cases:
⭕️ Product A quantity is within 3.
⭕️ Combined total quantity of Product A, Product B, and Product C is within 3.
Fail cases:
❌️ Product A quantity is 4 or more.
❌️ Combined total quantity of Product A, Product B, and Product C is 4 or more.
