This page introduces how to restrict members with the customer tag "Blacklist" (hereinafter referred to as blacklisted members) from purchasing specific products.
If you haven't enabled the app embed yet, please enable it from the Setup guide.
By configuring the settings on this page, eligible items will be available for purchase by anyone except blacklisted members (users with the "Blacklist" tag assigned to their customer tags).
The status of eligible items varies depending on the customer's status as follows:
For members (logged-in users) → Purchase possible
For guests (users not logged in) → Purchase not possible (* However, it can be made purchasable depending on the settings)
For blacklisted members (users with the "Blacklist" tag assigned to their customer tags) → Purchase not possible
Please refer to the demo product for this setting.
(1) Click "Customer rules" from the app's left menu.
(2) Click "Create" on the Customer rules page.
(3) Enter the following on the Create Customer rule page:
Title: Any text
Require account: Check this box
Customer tags: Check "Customers with the following tags are prohibited from purchasing" and add the "Blacklist" tag.
Eligible items: Select the products or collections you want to restrict.
Product message: Enter any message.
Alert message: Enter any message.
Note: If you want to allow guest purchases, please uncheck "Require account". However, please be aware that if you change this setting, the restriction check process will only occur on the checkout page. Restriction checks will not be performed on product or cart pages.
(4) Click "Save" in the upper right corner of the screen.
